frome valley farm shopThe farm is gradually becoming somewhere where you can just get it all! Our herd of Aberdeen Angus are now standing at 40 and soon to be used in our butchery department giving you top quality beef reared only a stones throw away! The same goes for our Gloucester Old Spot pigs and our home-reared lamb.

90 hens lay eggs daily – they roam freely in the field opposite the shop and their eggs are taken straight to the shop still warm each morning and barely is their one left by lunchtime!

June marks the start of our growing season at Frome Valley Farm Shop – starting with asparagus. Next to arrive are the gooseberries, good for jam, crumbles or pies. Blackcurrants and redcurrants are next. Then for the king of the crop – strawberries! – children love coming to pick them – wonderful with our homemade meringues or our organic clotted cream. Let the children play on our play area while you enjoy a cream tea or slice of homemade cake on our Garden Terrace decking! Raspberries next – wonderful for freezing to enjoy through the winter months. Plums finish the soft fruit season.
